Abstract :
Pontryagin´s Minimum Principle (PMP)-based power management strategy is regarded as one of the most promising candidates for future hybrid vehicles. This paper discusses the realization concept of the PMP-based power management strategy based on Model Predictive Control (MPC). In this concept, it is assumed that the future driving route for a specific time range can be predicted periodically. A couple of issues regarding the realization concept are also discussed including the determination of the costate during driving. The realization concept is implemented by computer simulation and the simulation results are also provided.
