Abstract :
To obtain large electrodynamic force, low temperature rise and high structure strength rail-type electromagnetic launcher, this paper investigates the performance of pulsed current electromagnetic rail launcher. According to the investigation, the inductance gradient and current-carrying capacity is determined. Based on the analysis of mechanical properties of electromagnetic rail launcher, armature and screw, the corresponding conclusions are achieved. These conclusions established the foundation for the further researching on the mechanism of rail-type electromagnetic launcher.
