Abstract :
Very hot plasmas can be obtained by mutual collision of projectiles accelerated to high velocities up to 400 km/s. The electromagnetic drive of lithium or iron circular wires is considered by using either high frequency or constant magnetic fields. When deuterium and tritium are present, fusion reactions are expected. Considering iron, fusion could start from a temperature of 1.4×106 because energy has been released by the recombination of multiple charged ions.
