Abstract
This article investigates the properties of several non-Jakes Doppler spectra proposed for the vehicle-to-vehicle nonisotropic scattering environment of the open highway. Expressions for the ideal model correlations, level-crossing rates, and average fade durations are derived. The classic Clarke channel model is modified to generate fading signals corresponding to the nonisotropic scattering profiles. The simulation results match well with the theoretical ideal channel.
