Abstract :
In the comment by Mirkin (see ibid. p.348-50, 2003) he points out that the paper by Narendra and and Oleng (see ibid., vol.47, p.390-5, 2002) obtains the almost equivalent result as his paper (Mirkin, IEEE Mediterranean Conf. Control Automation, p. 388-98, 1999). In reply Narendra points out that it is difficult it is to keep abreast of developments even in narrow fields.
