Abstract :
Proposed is a new technique based on the Prony algorithm that utilises amplitude-only data to estimate relative delays and amplitudes of the multipath rays. The use of amplitude-only data instead of complex data in the estimation process reduces the complexity and cost of the data measurement and acquisition systems. The theoretical analysis is validated by computer simulation and experimental measurement. Prediction of the different parameters showed very good agreement with actual values.
