Abstract :
I am using the combined term "Engineering and Technology Management" (ETM) to describe a growing field that has many practitioners worldwide. One of the remarkable changes over the past five decades is the growing professionalization of the field-via graduate degrees, professional associations, conferences, publications, and systematic research into component issues. Another is the scope of ETM activities-from a major concentration on the R&D/Technology functions in industry and not-for-profits to a broader set of functions in both kinds of organizations.
