Abstract :
This paper presents a design methodology for damped capacitive voltage divider for lightning impulse waves measurement; the methodology includes design verification using three different computational tools (EMTP, MATLAB and ELCUT). The methodology was validated by constructing and testing two 300 kV dividers at the High Voltage Laboratory of the Universidad del Valle.
