Abstract :
The Watkins-Johnson converter has been identified as belonging to the tapped inductor converter families extending once more the matrix of DC-DC converter topologies. This converter is analysed in terms of the tap position and the switch duty cycle and its operation as a rail-to-tap buck converter is verified.
