Decision support tools in restructured electricity systems: an overview

This paper provides an overview of the decision support tools in the restructured energy systems. The paper divides the tools into major categories and describes the decision support tools within each category. Since there are differences in the design and functionality of different restructured markets, what is presented here is not intended to match any particular system. Nonetheless, the decision support tools outlined here provide sufficient information for understanding restructured energy systems decision support tool needs in general.
