Abstract
A novel method is devised to determine the small-signal gain, saturation intensity, and internal optical losses in the cavity of a homogeneously broadened laser with the help of an intracavity rotatable reflector used as a variable coupling-out mirror. These laser parameters have been determined for a CW CO2 laser.
