Abstract
In this paper we consider a boundary control problem for a class of hyperbolic PDEs that arise in the design and control of thermal fluid systems. We include the effects of actuator dynamics and show how one may formulate the problem so that the input operator is bounded. We prove that the system is well-posed in standard Hilbert spaces and present a rigorous numerical scheme for approximating control laws. Numerical results are given to illustrate the ideas.
