Abstract
In this paper, controllability of driftless inhomogeneous bilinear systems is considered. It is shown that the driftless inhomogeneous bilinear systems are neither controllable nor nearly controllable. However, their discrete-time counterparts, which are derived from Euler discretization and are not controllable either, can be nearly controllable. Near-controllability of the discrete-time counterparts is thus studied and necessary conditions and sufficient conditions are presented. Finally, examples are given to illustrate the results of this paper.
