Abstract
An example is presented to show that minimal form may not always be unique as asserted by Neff and Kandel. A corect approach to minimization for fuzzy functions is given, and further work needed in the area is indicated. Some relevant information is pointed out regarding the treatment and simplification of fuzzy-valued switching functions. Examples are discussed in order to illustrate the correct approach for the minimization of these functions.
