  • Abstract
The authors have built CW, single-frequency, and Q-switched diode-pumped lasers at 2.02 μm using Tm:YAG and at 2.09 μm using Tm, Ho:YAG. For CW-pumped Q-switched operation near room temperature, Tm:YAG performed much better. CW diode-pumped Nd:YAG lasers at 1.833 and 0.946 μm were built. The 0.946-μm laser was used to pump a Yb, Er:YAG laser, which oscillated at 1.623 μm and a Yb, Er:Glass laser, which oscillated at 1.534 μm
