Abstract :
This paper describes how Clamason Industries, a UK-based precision presswork manufacturer, has managed to remain competitive despite pressure from low-cost manufacturing economies in the Far East. In addition to re-focusing and diversifying to other expanding sectors, Clamason invested further in new presses, robotic spot welding and dedicated cellular manufacturing facilities
