Abstract :
The U(J) relation for different polycrystalline samples of the different classes of hTc superconductors was analysed by means of collective pinning theory and by taking into account realistic pinning potential shapes. All used models lead for the various classes to typical differences in the height of the activation barrier. To get information about the absolute value of the activation energy the change of pinning behaviour with current density has to be taken into account
