  • Abstract
The results of magnetic measurements performed on YBa2(Cu1-xZnx)3O 7-δ superconducting materials with x⩽0.1, in the temperature range 5-300 K and fields up to 70 kOe are reported. The rate of induction of Cu2+ ions, as compared to the number of Zn ones, is 1:1 for x⩽0.05. For higher zinc content the number of Cu 2+ ions is smaller than that of Zn2+ ions. The reciprocal of critical temperature Tc-1 and of critical current densities, jc-1, are linearly dependent on Cu2+ content
