Abstract :
A computerized tomography technique is used to reconstruct a 3-D profile of electron density perturbation in the ionosphere based on the total electron content data recorded at a planned GPS receiver network. Simulations are conducted using the data of the 2004 Sumatra event. An effective early-warning system may become feasible based on this work.
