Abstract
We have now selected thin-film inductive-write and magnetoresistive-read head technologies for the manufacture and further development of affordable, narrow-track, many-head arrays which are needed for wideband Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) recording systems. Key to this choice of technology is good manufacturability and an acceptable headlife
