Abstract :
An experimental investigation studied a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna placed in a conducting well. Both the resonant frequency and input impedance increased as the wells became smaller, but the radiation patterns remained essentially unchanged. Resonators with smaller height-to-diameter ratios showed these effects to a lesser degree.
