Abstract :
Low-field longitudinal magnetoresistance and corresponding circular magnetization (Matteucci effect) hysteresis loops in Co-based amorphous ribbons with induced transverse in-plane easy axis have been measured. The observed loops show the role of a SDEA (Small Deviation of the Easy Axis) from the transverse direction, created by torsion stress in low-magnetostrictive ribbon. The typical shape of the circular magnetization loops in annealed (Co0.9Fe0.05Ni0.05)75Si 15B10 alloy, when dc-electric current is flowing through the ribbon as well as the increase of the resistance in the near zero-field region have been observed and explained on the basis of the distribution of a SDEA from the transverse direction along the ribbon length
