Abstract :
Supporting springs influence the stiffness and resonant frequency of vibrating ring gyroscope (VRG). This letter presents a new calculation method of potential energy of semicircular cantilever supporting spring in VRG. The partial derivatives of the potential energy are also worked out for developing complete dynamic model of VRG lately.
