Abstract :
A closed-form three-dimensional field solution is presented for cylindrical magnets that are polarized perpendicular to their axes. The field components are expressed as finite sums of elementary functions and are readily programmed. They enable rapid parametric studies of field strength, and can be used for the design and optimization of rotational moving magnet actuators
