  • Abstract
At least two views of generality exist within the research community segment that is concerned with aiding and understanding human judgment and choice, as determined by an NSF-sponsored workshop on the subject of generalization that was held in the summer of 1985 at the University of Colorado. A perspective on how the differences in viewpoints concerning generalization can be exploited best for the benefit of both groups is provided, such that a unified research agenda enhancing support to human decisionmaking ability will result.
