Abstract :
This paper describes the process of selecting a graduate school. To make the decision it is necessary to carefully look at the motivating factors. The criteria for selecting the graduate school are: 1) the graduating school should make the job search; 2) a well-respected school is advantageous in the post-graduation job search; 3) outside activities offered by the school provides the opportunity for the students to enjoy the "off-time" that would increase the productivity. Funding also should be considered where the institution could offer scholarship. An industrial collaborations are often accompanied by a much more structured project this also should be considered. The advisor selection is also carefully noted that it is more important than selecting the project. Having regular one-on-one meeting with the advisor is a good thing so that advisor will give constructive feedback, as it easier to understand an explanation with visual aids. It would be a good idea to check into family services offered by the prospective schools, such as family housing and childcare. Offering business cards, Web sites search facilities, data collection and display, technical paper writing these are some of the most important factor for the graduate school. Finally to improve the papers/presentations the students should properly explain the technical papers with out fear.
