Abstract :
Calculating eddy current effects in the human body requires a more or less simplified model when using the finite element method (FEM). A well known 3D-formulation for low frequency eddy currents has been employed. The way chosen to find a model feasible for FEM techniques without neglecting the most important organic influences on the eddy currents will be described. A final model has been analysed and the results have been compared with measured ones obtained by MR-imaging
