  • Abstract
Vibrotactile feedback is strongly influenced by both accompanying audio and video feedback. Nevertheless, most tools and techniques focus on haptics in isolation during prototyping. We present the ViviTouch® Studio as a novel research tool that facilitates rapid prototyping of audio + video + vibrotactile feedback. Our tool also demonstrates a multimodal rapid prototyping architecture process that works on most operating systems and devices without custom embedded controllers or real-time operating systems. Easy A/B comparisons between different actuators, such as eccentric rotating masses, linear resonant actuators, piezoelectric elements, voice coils and electroactive polymers, are supported.
