Abstract
This paper deals with the calculation of forces in 2 and 3 dimensions for magnetostatic problems. For solutions of the Finite Integration Theory using a vector- (2D) or scalar potential (3D) a method is described to get consistent field solutions of B&oarr; and H&oarr; which considerably improves the accuracy of force calculation. Examples are given for tests and typical applications
