  • Abstract
A method of providing continuity for discretized results obtained in FEM calculations is presented. This consists in defining a very fine mesh in the post-processor section and calculating derivative quantities from the smoothed potential values. The fine mesh thus defined is called a virtual mesh. Noticeable improvements in values of fields and forces are obtained by this technique
