Recommended Surveillance and Action Requirements for Large Lead Storage Batteries at Nuclear Power Generating Stations

This paper was prepared for presentation at the 1981 Summer Power Meeting. It icludes proposed changes to the battery portion of the NRC Standard Technical Specifications for dc systems as suggested by the IEEE Working Group on Batteries and presented to the U.S. NRC. It also provides some of the reasoning and justification for the suggested surveillance and action requirements.
