Abstract
A simplified method is presented for obtaining per-phase nodal voltages and currents for transmission lines situated on congested right-of-ways, not only during normal operation-as also during generalized fault occurence. By using equivalent multiport representations, different kinds of fault conditions can be simulated. Besides the usual application in the protection assessment, the obtained results also represent important data for determining. the moduli of induced voltages and currents at objects localized near the lines.
