Abstract
Fiske steps which are normally present in the I-V curve of Josephson junctions disappear if the junction is subjected to a magnetic field which reverses its direction at the center of the device as in Josephson fluxonic diode. Experimental results for small and long Josephson junctions are provided. It is proposed that the reversing magnetic field sets extra conditions at the center of the junction which makes the creation of standing electromagnetic waves impossible.
