Abstract
We analyze a class of suboptimal policies for regulating the state of a switched linear system to zero while minimizing a quadratic cost. Our novel results provide upper and lower bounds on the performance of instances of this class with respect to the optimal policy and other policies of interest. We present a numerical example illustrating the applicability of the results to event-triggered control.
