Abstract :
A large-signal analysis is presented for the carrierstorage frequency divider in which the diode is assumed to be an ideal sequentially operated switch which closes when the voltage across it changes to the forward direction and opens when reverse recovery occurs. The analysis enables the performance of the circuit to be predicted with reasonable accuracy and permits an estimate to be made of the limiting values of some of the circuit parameters.
