Abstract :
A curriculum for training system operators must include the fundamentals of power systems and their operation plus specific application of these fundamentals to their own systen with its own particular constraints of network topology, controls, operating procedures, and contractual arrangements. Each training module must contain the necessary background, specifics of tthe job, practice exercises, and testing. All except the fundamentals of power system operations will be an individual task for the utility because of its topology, organization, equipment, and practices.
