Abstract :
The fusion-fission hybrid, generally defined as a subcritical fission lattice driven by an external neutron source provided by a fusion reactor, possesses a large potential advantage. The most appropriate method of exploiting this advantage is a matter of some controversey. Various possible approaches are listed, and a suggestion is made for possibly the most economically advantageous idea
