Abstract
Solar electrical systems are capital intensive, so it is of great importance to operate the systems at maximum energy yield (or conversely to make the minimum investment necessary to meet the load). The best operating point depends strongly on the illumination level, environmental conditions (such as temperature), the load characteristics and storage requirements
