Abstract :
Because of potential needs to broaden the utilization of available frequency spectra, BPA installed and tested a 38 GHz millimeter wave oonunications link during a period from 1977 through 1979. The link operated on a 15.1 km (9.4 mile) path which included one 1.8 x 2.4 meter (six feet by eight feet) passive elliptical reflector. Each end was monitored for rainfall and link performance.
