Abstract :
The theory of probability mathematics has been extended so that the effective load carrying capability of units for maintenance scheduling may be estimated by an easily applied function. Once the basic parameters have been calculated (load and generation unit cumulants), the effective load carrying capability of alternate units may be compared.
