Abstract :
This two-way interface allows the user to send and receive information between two microcomputers via one-line message displays, with the readout appearing simultaneously at both transmitting and receiving screens. The design of this parallel-line, handshaking interface is fairly straightforward, and it is easy to build and troubleshoot. Thus, it is an ideal first project for the student, or a simple and fast undertaking for the advanced engineer who requires rudimentary communications in a pinch.<>
