Abstract :
Meaningful determination of electrical characteristics for discharges occuring in short gaps have been made possible through the use of a special circuit adopted for display of subnanosecond pulses with relatively high amplitudes. The measuring system developed by the authors includes a point-to-point electrode geometry of very low capacitance, a special high voltage probe serving as a high peak power 50 Q attenuator, a coaxial cable and a wide-band oscilloscope.
