Abstract :
The authors provide measured data for comparison with the prediction of Chen (IEEE Trans. on Microwave Theory Tech., vol.MTT-21, p.1-6, 1973) on the insertion loss of openwork structures. It is shown that the validity of Chen´s formulae extends beyond the stated range of d/λ<0.5 to d/λ<1.0, where d /λ is the ratio of aperture spacing to wavelength
