Abstract :
Object-oriented concepts offer the potential for significant improvement to the software development process, and many organisations are investigating ways to gain experience in using object-oriented techniques. However, issues such as which proposed techniques are appropriate at different development phases, and how to ensure consistency and traceability between phases are not entirely clear. Faced with these concerns, a development group at the Mitre Corporation performed a short-term development exercise to prototype the object-oriented development process itself. The paper describes the exercise and its results
