Abstract :
An acquisition system based on a network (Ethernet/DECNET) of MicroVAXs running in the VAXELN environment is described. VAXELN is a software product for the development of dedicated, real-time systems for VAX processors. A central VAX running under the VAX/VMS operating system is used as file server and as user interface for the acquisition system. The discussion covers the macro acquisition system for the VAX8200, and the overall performance of the system
