A method is presented which uses topological formulas to find network functions for general linear networks which may contain any type of dependent sources, gyrators, coupled coils, and ideal transformers. The general linear network is divided into a passive reciprocal subnetwork and a subnetwork consisting of the active and/or nonreciprocal elements. The topological formulas express the network functions in terms of the tree-admittance products of the passive reciprocal subnetwork, and/or the products\´ of the active and/or nonreciprocal elements and the

-tree products of the passive reciprocal subnetwork.
