  • Abstract
    A self-routing packet switch with all-optical signal path demonstrating photonic time division multiplexing, demultiplexing, and routing information processing is presented. Routing information is extracted using a new and extremely simple method of optoelectronic correlation. The opportunities and limitations of this approach are discussed from the viewpoint of systems applications
