Abstract :
The authors present low grazing angle bistatic clutter measurements of forested hills at S-band. Mean NRCS is -36 dB for vertically polarised transmitter and receiver antennas and -42 dB for horizontally polarised antennas. Cross-sections increase by 3 dB after defoliation of the deciduous portion of the tree canopy
