Abstract :
This paper presents an algorithm to dispatch the electric load of a plant among its power feeder (tie-line) and in-plant generators such that the best economical mix of purchased and generated power is achieved. The developed algorithm is applicable to a wide class of mix generation-plants, among which is the typical paper mill considered in this study.
