Abstract
Successful application of primary fuses on distribution transformers depends on several factors, one of which is coordination. Proper coordination implies proper sequence of operation of protective devices. Proper sequence of operation depends on consideration of system characteristics, transformer characteristics, and fuse characteristics. This paper reviews each of these characteristics.
